Requesting a Change to Your Chat Name

Chat name changes are only granted for valid reasons — for example, if your current name contains personal information, is potentially offensive, or otherwise violates our guidelines.

If you believe your situation qualifies, you can contact our Chat Hosts or Customer Service to request a change. All requests are reviewed and must meet the criteria above to be approved.

If approved, please note the following rules for selecting a new chat name:

  • Chat names must be 3–15 characters long.
  • Special characters are not allowed.
  • Your name must be unique. If the name you request is already in use, you’ll be asked to choose another.
  • Do not include “CM” or “CH” in your chat name. These prefixes are reserved for official Chat Hosts (e.g., “CM Caroline” or “CH Caroline”) to avoid confusion.
  • Avoid using any sensitive or personal information.
  • You may change your chat name a maximum of twice per month.
  • Once changed, your new name will take immediate effect and be saved for your next login.
